New In: Dior Spring 2016 | Nude Air Glowing Gardens

Hey everyone!

Can someone please put my money away and keep it behind a lock? I just can't control myself whenever I head into the city and walk by the beautiful new high-end Spring collections. I picked up this beauty the other day.

The Dior Spring 2016 collection called Glowing Gardens has a flower-theme running throughout the make up line. The pressed powders - two highlighters, a blush and two eyeshadow palettes- have a gorgeous floral pattern embossed in them.

I picked up one of the highlighters, the Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder in 002 Glowing Nude, which is a champagne golden shade. 001 Glowing Pink is more  pinky purpley duo chromey toned in real life than you would imagine when you look it up online. I thought it was way too cool toned for me, so I went for the Glowing Nude instead.

Shade wise, it is more of a rosy champagne shade than The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer, but it's more beige toned than Mac's Soft&Gentle. I'd say the shade is pretty close to the highlighter in the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze&Glow kit, but the finish is way more metallic and almost wet-looking.

I like the more neutral and champagne shades and although this one looked quite dark at first, I tried it on and it looked amazing. It's pigmented, but not as pigmented as The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer for example. It's less possible to go OTT with it.

The packaging of this case is amazing. The classic Dior-print from the leather bags comes back on the lid and it's completely silver-coloured mirror. It comes with a little pouch as well to protect the case. Last but not least it comes with an amazing kabuki-style brush with natural hairs. Sadly this one doesn't fit in the pouch when the product is in there, I think they could have thought about that before they put a massive brush in the set. I'm going to try out the brush with the highlighter, but when looking at it I think it wouldn't be precise enough for me to only put it on the high points of my cheeks. It seems better for blush or bronzer. I'll report back on this one.

This baby costs €54,00 at Ici Paris XL and £40 at Selfridges. Luckily I had a few coupon codes and a gift voucher so I could save up some pennies after all.

I think this is now officially the most expensive highlighter I own. Would you ever splurge on a luxury (limited edition) item like this?

Lots of love,
