They see me haulin'

10:00

You knew that last month's haul wouldn't be the last one, right?
...

Being in the UK, in a big city, surrounded by all these make up brands and products I can't get my hands on at home brings out the haul-monster in me. I'm almost ashamed of myself.

Anyways, here's another batch of products I've been picking up this past month, some of which I've tried and tested already. (A few of them were actually in my April Beauty Favourites already!)

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Moonstone

This was a bit of a surprise for me, as I planned on picking up Champagne Pop first, but went for this one after swatching them both for 30 minutes. In the end I decided Champagne Pop might be way too shimmery and over the top for me and Moonstone would be a bit softer and more suitable for my skin tone. I was right, because when I came home I realised it's almost exactly the same shade as The Balm's Mary-Lou Manizer. I wish I realised that before I picked this up, I might even have gone for Opal if I was more informed about this occurrence. I do think they are a little bit different in consistency, but I might as well have picked up the poured (cream) highlighter instead of the pressed (powder) one. Oh well, now that we're stuck with it I might as well use it a lot. It's still a beauty!

MaxFactor Voluptuous False Lash Effect mascara

I've been using the Velvet Volume one for a while now, and when this was being released a month or so back, it really caught my attention. Sure I like the Velvet Volume but it's not my favourite - because of the spikey plastic wand which hurts my eyes every time I use it - and was this mascara going to be any different? It still has a plastic wand, but it is the most interesting wand I've ever seen. I've not used this yet as I want to use up the other 5 mascaras that have been in rotation first, before they dry out, but I'm excited to see if this one will actually give me volume, as it promises.

Benefit Hoola brush

Ever since I saw this brush was released I knew I was going to get my hands on it at some point in the near future. Look at how gorgeous this looks??? it feels very soft and fluffy and it's perfect to bronze up the skin. I's great for getting in the hollows of your cheeks, but it's fluffy enough to not leave a too sharp stroke, if you know what I mean. This is not a contour brush at all, rather one to bronze. I used it in my "Stripping: the new strobing?" post and I think this brush is the ideal one for that purpose.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz - Taupe

This is a repurchase for me and everyone knows how much I love it, so I'm not going to ramble on about it too much. I picked it up when I went home for the weekend a few weeks ago, as I have no clue where to get Anastasia in Manchester, other than an online store (might be the Trafford Centre where I still haven't been to this day!). Long story short: this is the perfect shade match for my brows and it's super handy to use.

Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base

Another restock product, this eyeshadow base has saved my eyeshadow from creasing during the day and I couldn't imagine doing my eyeshadow without it anymore. It has lasted me about a year as well so it's well worth its money.

Stila Stay All Day waterproof eyeliner - Intense Black

I've had my eye on this one for a very long time so I finally decided to pick it up. I swatched it on my hand in store and it literally didn't budge for the entire day so this is very promising. Hope it won't be too much of a pain to get off, as it's a waterproof formula; something I usually don't go for. We'll see, I'll keep you updated on that.

Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done - Light

This is basically Urban Decay's new tinted moisturiser. WHAT, a tinted moisturiser you say??? Yep, you know I'm all about the full coverage, matte base and this is basically the complete opposite, but since my skin is getting a bit better lately I thought it was time to invest in a lighter base, so I don't clog my pores unnecessarily. When this launched last month it immediately caught my attention and I was very eager to try it out. A review on this is coming very soon so stay tuned!

MaxFactor Creme Puff blush - Nude Mauve

You all know how much I love these blushes. They're probably the best drugstore ones out there, final stop. I love the Alluring Rose one for autumn and I've been using Seductive Pink a lot this winter, so when I was browsing Superdrug for a mauvey blush - something I'm really lacking in my collection - I obviously immediately leaned towards this collection again. Nude Mauve is the prefect everyday blush - not too shimmery and not too much colour, but a great one to carry around and top up during the day or wear with minimal make up, just to give the cheeks a little something.

Zoeva 129 Luxe Fan brush

Aaah, I finally managed to get my hands on a fan brush. It's been a total game changer for me, this one. I've been one the lookout for a fan brush for ages now, and with this one being so affordable I just couldn't resist anymore. I love this brush a lot for applying a soft, subtle highlighter, as it really diffuses the the product very well but is still precise enough to only hit the high points of the face. Already loving this one a whole lot.

Jo Malone Blue Agava & Cacao cologne

My favourite perfume is back in my life, thanks to my lovely mum who picked it up for me. These 100ml bottles are espensive okay? (anyone else who can't say that world without hearing KathleenLights in their head? Just me?) Calculated it would even cost me more to buy it in the UK, and I was kind of hoping my mum could pick it up at the tax-free in our main airport but she wasn't able to. Longs tory short, she bought it at home for me, where it was still a little bit cheaper than in the UK, so I could bring it with me when I came back after my weekend. This is one of my all time favourite scents, without a doubt, and has quickly become my signature daytime perfume. Give it a sniff if you get the chance, it's such a unique one.

Let me know if you have tried any of these products in the comments below, I'd love to know how you get on with them!

Lots of love,
Charline
