September Beauty Favourites

Bloody hell, how is it October already?

I feel like part of these favourites are still summer-inspired but the other part is definitely Autumn-appropriate as well. Let's dive in without the ramble this time.

Clarins Bronzing & Blush Compact

This limited Edition Clarins bronzer looks gorgeous in the pan and even more gorgeous on the face. This time of year I concentrate mostly on the two lighter bronzer shades, but oh my god the blush in here is so pretty! It definitely brings back the summer vibes with its peachy undertone. The lid was broken when I bought it though and I was so heartbroken when I opened it, but it was in duty-free, a bit cheaper as usual, so I could live with it. The mirror in here is huge as well, so it would have been perfect, had it not been broken off.

Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow

Re-visiting an old favourite, this is still such a good one! I don't wear a lot of highlighter on the daily, but I just remembered this month that the highlight in here is very subtle and daytime-appropriate. I've been wearing it loads and I've fallen back in love.

Real Techniques Mini Miracle Eraser Sponges

How cute are these mini-versions of their orange blending sponge? These are supposed to be dupes for the BeautyBlender mini sponges, made to fit right underneath the eyes for concealer or any other tiny spaces on your face. I've never tried those, neither have I tried the Primark dupes that retail for £2, but these have been absolutely amazing to me. I don't really use them wet that much, but like it suggests in the name, it's wonderful for erasing mistakes. Fall out from your eyeshadow, a bit of mascara smudging, a spot you missed when blending out concealer, this one does it all (dry, that is). They are so handy to have in my make up drawer for a quick fix.

Maybelline The Rock Nudes eyeshadow palette

With this in my collection, the desire to pick up the Urban Decay Naked Smoky has gone away. I feel like this one has all the good shades in there, even a khaki one which the Urban Decay one doesn't have. I do miss at least one warmer brown in here, but other than that, I think this palette is amazing. The pigmentation is there, there's a good mix of mattes and shimmers and a good colour selection. I had been waiting for this to release in the UK since forever and it's finally mine!

MaxFactor Excess Shimmer cream eyeshadow

I love how this is a mousse texture. It's super lightweight and a little goes a very long way. I was never really interested in these shadows, as I felt like none of the shades spoke to me. However, after watching a tutorial of Karima McKimmie (watch here) where she used a Tom Ford cream eyeshadow to create a glossy eye look, it suddenly hit me there's an almost exact colour dupe for that in this MaxFactor Excess Shimmer collection, I had to buy it to recreate the look. I have not regretted it since.
