August Favourites

Hey peeps!

Can you believe it's the end of August? 'Cause I can't!
It's time for another monthly favourites. Are you ready?

Urban Decay Naked Heat palette

This is probably one of the most talked about palettes of the last few months, and rightly so. Everyone knows I'm a sucker for warm tones, and I think Wende did a fine job creating a stunning palette with quite a lot of mattes, and a few very sparkly shimmers that go so well with the colour scheme. As everyone is saying - and I totally agree with - there's only one thing missing and that's a lighter warm shade. Apart from the first two shades in the palette, all the others are quite dark in general, so you can't really create a lighter look with it, it will always be kind of smoky looking. But apart from that, the quality is what we're used to from Urban Decay and the colour scheme is just really up my street. I've been loving experimenting with this one!

The Balm "Balm Desert" bronzer

This shade is just a perfect one for summer! It's quite cool-toned so it's perfect to contour with, but it's also just warm enough to give you that naturally-tanned look. It's super pigmented, so I always use it with a fluffier brush, to make sure I don't apply too much at once. But I am just in love with this one lately.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue tinted hydrating gel cream SPF 30 - Vanilla 02

Let's just call in the Complexion Rescue, shall we? (too many words!)
I have become quite obsessed with wearing this one in summer. No matter how I apply it - with a brush, a sponge or just with my fingers - it always gives me that "I'm not wearing makeup, but my skin is perfected" type of look. It's a perfect base for layering any other product over. I must say it's not super long-wearing on my skin type (I'm oily-combination) but because it's only a tinted moisturiser, you can't really tell all that much when it's fading.

Burberry Tangerine Blush No. 06

I've had this one since January now, and I only recently started using it. It's such a great one for every day, as it's not really intense. At first I thought I would easily go overboard with it, as it's super pigmented, but with a fluffy blush brush it's easy to get the right amount and build it up as much as you want. The formula is great, too! I've noticed it wears really well throughout the day, and I still notice it on my cheeks after a full day of work. That says something!

Ikea Malm bed

I've recently upgraded my room. I still didn't want to re-do EVERYTHING, so it kind off still looks like a 10-year-old's bedroom, but since I'm not planning on living with my parents for that much longer, I just took off a piece of my desk (it had an extra extension on the left which I took off) to make room for a queen size bed. My room is pretty much full now, but at least I have some more space to toss and turn when I'm sleeping.

Let me know if you have tried any of these, and what your favourites of the month are!

Lots of love,
