PKP in Pics

Ever since 2012 I make it a point to go to Pukkelpop Festival. This was the 6th year in row I was able to go and enjoy my favourite bands live on stage for 3 entire days.

Here are some pics that I took during the festival, to share the vibes with you.

Makeup DAY 1.
I did only really photograph my makeup on the first day. The next two days were super rainy and I didn't really feel like going all out with my makeup, as rain tends to get me in a bit of a funk.

I was wearing my new Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in the shade Prismatic Amethyst, the Urban Decay eyeshadow in Tonic on the eyelid, the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Freak on the bottom lashes and Mac Velvet Teddy on the lips (because obvs).

Can we talk about the pathetic design of the wrist bands for a moment? Really Pukkelpop, you used to be so good at this. Come on.

Arrived at the festival, and I found out that they serve my favourite beer (and only beer I like), Kriek (cherry beer). Apparently they have been serving it all along. How have I just found this out after 5 years?

First act of the day: Sigrid. She was awesome.
I also saw Eden, Ray Blk, Girls In Hawaii, Intergalactic Lovers, Strand Of Oaks and Solange.

The first night went out with a bang at the performance of Editors. I didn't manage to catch The XX, as I wasn't feeling too well and they were performing really late (such a shame).  Thought it would be better to get in bed and start the next day with a fresh mind and belly.

Day 2 started out really grey and wet! It rained a lot on Friday which kind of sucked. But no one let it get to their heart and still enjoyed every second of the festival.

After rain comes sunshine... and rainbows!

Day 2 was probably my favourite day. I managed to catch the shows of Emma Bale, Walking On Cars, Oh Wonder, Tove Lo, The Amazons, Halsey, London Grammar, Bastille (my absolute faves!) and last but not least Parov Stelar. All of which were amazing!

Apparently, on day 3 I was way too tired to take a lot of pictures, but here are a few anyways. I focused on being in the moment rather than taking a million pictures. You can check out some more photos of bands on stages and other things on my personal instagram @charlineofficial, where strangely enough I didn't upload a single selfie of me or my friends at the festival.

On the last day I managed to catch Pvris, Car Seat Headrest, Jake Bugg, The Pretty Reckless, Billy Talent, Bear's Den, Mumford & Sons, Rise Against and Flume. Of course, Marcus Mumford was the most humble and thankful guy on the planet, so as a thank you he overloaded us with confetti. Twice.

As tradition comes, fireworks closed the festival. Look at this heart-shaped one, so pretty.

That was all I have to share with you today! Another wristband can be added to my collection, which I keep on a key ring, as it became frowned upon impossible to keep them around my wrist.

Let me know if you've been to any festivals this summer (or maybe you're at Reading/Leeds Festival right now, in that case: hope you bloody enjoy it).

Lots of love,
