Autumn makeup look

10:00

Hey peeps!

A few weeks ago I posted some new selfies/profile pics on my social media channels, as I thought my makeup looked quite on point that day. It was very well received and liked, so I decided to share with you what products I used to create this look, as it's very suitable for autumn, maybe even the festive season.

I'm very sorry to inform that I did use a few limited edition items, but I'm pretty sure you will be able to find some worthy dupes for it.

To prime my face I used the Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying Primer. Then following up with the foundation I'm currently using, I used the Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation in N°51 Light Vanilla. To hide those dark circles I'm still sticking to the Maybelline Eraser Eye concealer Neutralizer, and on my blemishes I applied the BareMinerals BareSkin concealer in Light. To set everything down I used my trusty Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Translucent.

On my face I used a limited edition bronzer - sorry guys! - from Chanel from a few years ago, which is the Les Beiges Healthy-Glow Multi-Colour in Marinière N°02. I'm trying to use this up because I still have an untouched backup of this, so I've been using this one a lot lately. Another limited edition face product I used is the Chanel Jardin De Chanel Blush Camélia Rose, which I'm also trying to use a lot, because it's limited edition and I can't mention it on my blog too much because you won't be able to get it anymore. So, yeah, it's gorgeous but you can't get your hands on it anymore. I'm sorry!

I highlighted the high points of my face with the Colourpop Super Shock Cheek in Lunch Money, a very natural looking highlighter that I love to use on regular days. Then I went for my favourite brow-combo of the moment: the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil in 2 and the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel

Onto the eyes, and I used a product I haven't really used a lot since I picked it up last year. I figured I should start using it more often, so decided to wear it combined with the lippie I had in mind. It's the The Body Shop Eye Colour Stick in Nevada Gold. To set this cream in place and to intenstify that metallic look, I topped it of with the Kiko Long-Lasting Wet & Dry Eyeshadow in 200, a gorgeous champagne gold shade I'd forgotten how good it actually was. I also took this shadow into the inner corners just a little bit. For this look, I only applied shadows on the lid, so I didn't go darker on the lower lash line or anything. I kept it very simple, because I wanted the lips to pop. I completed the eye look with a coat of the Urban Decay Perversion mascara, also just on the top lashes.

Then the lips! I really wanted to use this Mac matte lipstick in Hearts Aflame, a limited edition lipstick my mum picked up years ago. Some time ago I went through the makeup she doesn't really use anymore to see what I could still use from it. This seemed like such a cool one, but I wanted it just that bit darker (so it would match my jumper, haha!). I did apply a lip liner first, which is the Bourjois Contour Edition lip pencil in 09 Plum it Up!. Such a beautiful combination these two, and also such a shame this shade is not a permanent one, as I think it would suit so many people! I guess it is kind of similar to Diva, of you still want to check out a Mac lipstick that could do the job.

And there you have it. A very autumn-appropriate makeup look.

What do you think? Are you brave enough to rock a bold lip? I myself usually stick to the nudes, but just once in a while I feel like wearing a shade like this.

Let me know in the comments below what kind of look you usually go for this time of year!

Lots of love,
Charline
xoxo
