Currently In Rotation #8

10:00

Hey everyone!

So, I've decided to incorporate a few returning posts this next year, one of them being a currently in rotation every two months, alongside the project pan updates, the monthly favourites posts, and also the empties posts that I will try and do consistently every two months, alternating with this one.

I've numbered all the previous "currently in rotation" posts on my blog from the past 3 years, so this makes #8.

It's different to monthly favourites, in the way that these will be the products I'm currently testing out, using everyday, trying to use more, and so on. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are especially my favourite this month, but there might be overlaps sometimes, and even returning products every time I do these. It's just a way to show you a few products that have been living in my top muji drawer.

Maybelline The Eraser Eye concealer - Neutralizer

The base routine I've been doing lately - as my skin is behaving very well, thank god - is putting some concealer first, mainly underneath the eyes and also on the few pigment spots or redness areas, then following up with a powder foundation (see below). It's been such a time saver in the mornings, when I just need to look "okay" for work. I've been loving this particular concealer for that, as the coverage is quite nice and it's super easy to blend out.

BareMinerals BarePro Performance Wear powder foundation - Dawn 02

The powder foundation I've been using after concealing like I just explained, is this one. I bought it online and completely guessed the shade I would be, but I'm so happy that this is actually the perfect shade for me! I usually use it with a big fluffy powder brush, so it gives a light-medium coverage overtop of the concealer, but when I need it, I use a domed foundation brush, to make sure the coverage is a bit higher.

Eyelure x Fleur De Force Brow Define - Medium

I was in two minds about this brow pencil at first, but I've accepted that I should have picked up the light one instead of the medium. The darker shade is just too dark for me, but the lighter shade is actually perfect for my likings. I do really like the formula though so I'm happy to just use the lighter shade, then after that I'll probably pick up the light one.

Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara

I've been trying and testing this out over the past 1,5 month and I also just added it to my Project Pan this month. It's a great mascara, but it being so expensive, I'm not sure if it's worth it for me. Nevertheless I'm still loving it at the moment and it's the one I'm currently going through.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - Moonstone

I've recently found my way back to this highlighter, and I think it's the perfect one for every day. It's got a really nice undertone that is just perfect for me, and it's quite subtle as well. I mainly use it to intensify the other highlighter I'm using, which is a ColourPop one I'm trying to use up. Because it's somewhat creamy, the two work well on top of each other and are a good combination.

Lots of love,
