Empties #19

Hey everyone!

As you might have read already, I'm going to try and make this segment a bit more frequent. That way you know the empties you see will always be from the past two months.

I've emptied a lot of makeup and skin care items this month, and even hair care products were quite a lot to go through! Let's crack on.

Nyx Matte Finish Long-Lasting Setting Spray

You all know by now, just how much I love this setting spray. They recently changed the look of the packaging a little bit, but it's still the same wonderful setting spray. It is ideal for oily skin, but it doesn't make me feel too cakey or powdery. Especially in summer, this comes in handy, but it helps to make me look less powdery if I ever go overboard with my setting powder.

Repurchase? Already did.

Urban Decay Perversion mascara

I was smitten with this mascara when I first received a sample of it, but then for some reason the full size version didn't perform the same. I had a real love-hate relationship with this product; at times I loved it, at times I wasn't too convinced. It's gives your lashes a lot of volume, but I wish it would be more long-lasting, or even had that waterproof-aspect to it. It's a good everyday mascara though.

Repurchase? Probably not.

l'Oréal Paradise Extatic mascara

This mascara has blown my mind! I am seriously impressed by how it performs. It's been a long time since a new mascara has won me over since the release of the Too Faced Better Than Sex. I really hope they will leave this in the collection for a long time.

Repurchase? Already have a back-up laying around.

Benefit Precisely, My Brow pencil - 2

Just when I thought I would never find a brow pencil just as good as the Anastasia Brow Wiz, this one came along. I'm not saying it's better; in fact, it's really similar to the ABH one and I couldn't pick out one favourite out of the two. It's just such an easy one to use, has a great spooley at the end and is just generally one to try out if you haven't already.

Repurchase? Definitely.

Benefit Coralista blush

I used to love this one a lot back in the day. When I dug this one out after years, it had really lost its pigmentation. I used it up in my Project Pan, and now I'm so glad it's finally empty. I don't think this one is that good anymore. Yes, when I first started wearing makeup, it was a great subtle blush to give me a bit of glow, but honestly, since I picked this one up there have been so many releases that are way better than this one.

Repurchase? Sadly, no.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying Primer

I was so happy to finally get my hands on this one, and I must say it performed really well. Is it my favourite primer? No. There's just something about the consistency I don't really like when I'm applying it, and it also smells horrible. You get over it when you use it everyday, but there's just something that makes me not want to buy it anymore. It performed well, so if you're not that fussed about smells, you might want to check it out.

Repurchase? Nope, there's so many other primers I still want to try out.

Maybelline ColorSensational lipstick - 740 Coffee Craze

This lipstick was such a unique one in my collection when I found it, and I've worn it loads and loads. Unfortunately, I don't love it as much as I did anymore. I got as much use out of it as possible in my Project Pan, so I'm happily parting with it now.

Repurchase? Not at this very moment; Who knows I might, in the future.

Mac matte lipstick - Velvet Teddy

My very favourite lipstick ran out, and I'm so sad... This lipstick really gives me life. It suits me so well, and yes I did pick it up when there was a lot of hype around it, with Kylie Jenner wearing it and everything, but. Honestly. This. Lipstick. It really suits everyone.

Repurchase? I definitely will some day, but not right away. I still have a Smashbox lipstick laying around that is really similar in shade and also matte in finish, that I really need to use first. But I will never forget the goodness that is Velvet Teddy.

The Body Shop Seaweed Oil Balancing Toner

I have found a trusty toner in this product, and I love it a lot. The Tea Tree one feels a bit too harsh, and after using the mini Clinique Step 2 toner again after years, I feel like my skin is really just too sensitive for it. The Seaweed toner feels really gentle on my face, but still does the job well. I will always follow up my cleansing with this product, and it removes all the excess product.

Repurchase? Definitely, right after I finish up the Clinique mini.

Garnier Micellar Water

How did I ever think the Bioderma micellar water was worth its money? I couldn't imagine my skincare routine without this product now! It does everything it needs to do and it's so affordable.

Repurchase? All the time.

Ren Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser

As you might gauge from the previous reviews: when I find a skincare product that works for me, I stick to it and rarely ever try out a new one. It is so important to me to stick the the ones I know in terms of my skin, as I have the tendency to react to most new products. I picked this one up after reading a really good review on it, making it sound just for me. I'm so glad I ventured out and I've been using it for over a year now. I really love it and will probably keep using it for eternity.

Repurchase? Already using my backup!

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel

Another product (getting quite boring I'm sorry) that I stick to no matter what. Important to note is that this is the gel, not the lotion. The one I got in the advent calendar was the lotion, which is for dry skin and I happily donated to a friend, the gel is perfect for oily skin types. I follow up my toner with this, and lately have been mixing in the Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate to create the perfect lightweight night cream.

Repurchase? Every time. I couldn't imagine my routine without it.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions

For my daily moisturising, I tend to switch between a couple of them from time to time. I'm currently using a Kiehl's one, but often go back to this Clinique one as well. It's lightweight, which I love, but also has that "anti-blemish" factor that really seems to work well for me.

Repurchase? I reckon I will in the near future. It's just a little bit easier to get my hands on than the Kiehl's products.

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Eye Treatment

Lots of Clinique products in here, I've now realised! This eye cream is just absolute heaven. It's super expensive, but just feels so soothing in the evening. I don't know what it is that makes me want to repurchase it all the time, but I always do.

Repurchase? That being said; I've decided to try out a different night eye cream, just for the sake of it. I think you can't really do anything wrong with switching your eye cream, apart from choosing one that does absolutely nothing. I reckon I will go back to this one one day, though.

Lush Cupcake fresh face mask

It had been such a long time since I'd picked this up! I don't have a Lush in my neighborhood, so I don't really buy a lot of their products, but when I had the chance to, I decided to give this another go. I am on the fence about this one tough. I love it, but it expires after two weeks or so, and it doesn't really give me much time to use this a lot.

Repurchase? When I get the chance again, I might.

Bumble & Bumble Thickening shampoo

I am such a sucker for volumising hair products, and this one is just one of the many I absolutely adore. It gives my hair a bit of grip and it smells amazing, too!

Repurchase? As soon as I run out. I'm currently on my next bottle already.

CoLab Dry Shampoo - original & exotic frangrances

I am trying to stay away from dry shampoos a bit more lately, as I've noticed my hair falls out more when I've used them (not good!). But sometimes you just need a bit of a spritz when you don't have time to wash your hair, or feel like your hair is hanging down a lot. I really like these two scents, they are my favourite.

Repurchase? Definitely. I still have 3 more backups at the moment.

l'Oréal StudioLine Volum'Max volume mousse

This bottle lasted me forever. Honestly, it's lasted me almost a year, and trust me, I use it 3 times a week. If anything's worth your money, it's this one! Yet, it's not my favourite mousse. I feel like I've used volumising mousses that did more for my hair, but I guess this one was okay, too.

Repurchase? Probably not.

Aveda Damage Remedy Split End Repair (sample)

The thing with leave-in conditioners for me is: they don't work for me. I have really greasy hair, naturally, so I really prefer rinsing out my products before I go to dry it. I'm sure it's a lovely one, but it just isn't my cup of tea.

Repurchase? Nope.

Aveda Damage Remedy Restructuring conditioner (sample)

Other than the previous product, I do really like this one. It seems to really protect the ends of my hair, but doesn't particularly make my hair feel soft, which is a real shame.

Repurchase? Probably not, but I'm happy ti have tried it out.

Aveda Texture Tonic (sample)

This is a lovely product! It smells really nice, somewhat herb-like. It does exactly the same as every other salt spray, but just the scent alone can convince me I need this in my life!

Repurchase? I still have a massive bottle of salt spray sitting in the bathroom cabinet, and I don't really use it all that much anymore, so I might just use that one up first.

Paddywax Applewood & Amber candle

I'm so sad I can't really seem to find this candle anywhere anymore. I picked it up randomly when I was visiting a friend in Cambridge over a year ago. I really wish I could find somewhere (preferably online with shipping to Belgium that's not too expensive) that I could pick this up again.

Repurchase? If only I could!

Atelier Rebul Apple Cinnamon candle

This brand popped up last year in Belgium somewhere, and I think it could really take off<. They have some amazing perfumes and room scents, but also skin- and haircare. This candle was limited edition for the holiday season, and I absolutely adore this scent. Give me apple and cinnamon candles and I'm yours. Sadly, the last bit didn't burn up, as the wick went faster than the wax.

Repurchase? I can't as it was ltd. ed. Hope they bring it back next year!

Lots of love,
