February Favourites

February always flies by, doesn't it?

Here are my favourites of the month!

The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer

I've been using this primer non-stop ever since I ran out of my Make Up For Ever one, and it's just a lovely product to use. I'm not going to give you a whole review on it again - you can check that out right here if you fancy. It's just a fabulous product that's really affordable and that I will probably be repurchasing once I run out of it. The hype is real with The Ordinary, but so well deserved.

Chanel Coco Noir perfume

I've had the Coco Mademoiselle for several years and ran out of it last year. I thought when I was up for a new perfume, I would try out a different on in the same collection. The Coco Noir is just that bit more wintery, but still gives the same vibes as the Coco Mademoiselle. Such a me-perfume, and probably the most flowery of all the perfumes I own.

Aveda Thickening Tonic

I mentioned this before in my hair care routine post, but I'm honestly loving this product so much! It does the same as any other mousse would do, only it's not a mousse but a spray. I love how it doesn't make my hair crunchy or weird and it's so easy to use. I've used it loads and you really have to spray a lot in, but I feel like it dispenses just the right amount and this bottle will last me for a really long time.

Benefit Boiing Industrial Strength Concealer - No. 1

Of course I need the palest shade, which is really not that pale to be honest. I don't think ivory skin tones can get away with this, but for me it's perfect. It has a lot of coverage and I'm kind of trying to convert to pot concealers, rather than liquids, as everyone seems to be over the moon with the Glossier and Nars ones as well. This was just that bit easier to get my hands on and I thought I might as well try it out. I use this on my spots mainly, but also under the eyes when I really need the coverage there as well. Honorable mention to the Boiing Airbrush concealer, which I picked up at the same time and is a lot more moussey in consistency, so it's more lightweight for underneath the eyes, when I don't need too much coverage in that area.

Nars Narsissist Wanted eyeshadow palette

I've had quite the episode with this palette. I picked this up at the beginning of this month, and it really already is my new holy grail palette. This dinky little palette contains 12 shades, all perfect and perfectly balanced, has amazing quality and is just a great all-rounder. I've written an entire first impressions on it, and after a month my opinion still is the same: everyone needs this palette in their lives! That being said, I did develop redness and dry patches on my eyelids, as well as underneath my eyes, which can only be caused by these eyeshadows. It's very likely that I'm allergic to the glitter shades in this palette, as I have an nickel and kobalt allergy (nickel can possibly be found in everything shiny, so glitter eye makeup, metal door handles. Not necessarily, but always possible. Kobalt is everything blue or derived from the blue pigment, so blue and green shades fall into that category as well. The darker they are, the more kobalt they contain). Bit of a heart crusher, as I absolutely adore this palette, but probably can't wear it loads - or at least not the glitter shades, because my skin reacts to them. Pity, but nonetheless one of the prettiest palettes I own.

Puma Basket Heart VS Velvet - Black

I wanted to include these in the post as well, as this pair of trainers is really the only pair I've been wearing all month. I love myself some sneakers and I wear them all the time, I'm just obsessed with these, as the bow makes them quite feminine. I was on the hunt for a new pair of black trainers and I've found my perfect pair in these ones.

Lots of love,
