Currently In Rotation #9

Hey everyone!

It's time for another look into my current makeup rotation. Just to clarify again: This post is different from a "monthly favourites", as the product in here aren't necessarily my absolute favourites. Often, I will like them a lot, but it could also be new products I'm trying out and I haven't made up my mind about, or products I just use without thinking, it's become a habit of including them and they've been mentioned in a favourites post on my blog before.

Benefit BAD gal BANG! mascara

As I've mentioned in my Beauty Haul post last week, this mascara hasn't completely grown on me yet. I love trying out new mascaras in general, but I usually go for bristly brushes instead of plastic wands. I'm trying to find the way to get this mascara to separate my lashes while it's giving me volume as well. It's tricky sometimes, but I manage to do it on a good day. The formula is quite wet though, I'm guessing it will be a bit easier when it has dried down a bit.

Burberry Earthy Blush No. 07

I've neglected this one a bit over the past few months, and recently found it again when I was going through my collection. I find it works well in combination with my warm toned bronzers, so I will use this one first as a light contour, before bronzing up the rest of my face. I can't believe I've let this one just gather dust in my drawers, when it's such a gorgeous product.

Benefit Boiing Industrial Strength Concealer - NO. 1

I never thought I would get on with pot concealers, but I find myself in the situation where I own three different ones at the moment! This one is probably my favourite out of them all: it's very full coverage, and locks in very nicely, so it's perfect for my blemishes. When I want to travel light, I'll just take this one and use it underneath my eyes as well; it's more of a matte finish, but not too drying so I can use it in that area as well without creasing too much. I will always set it with a powder, just in case. The shade is also perfect for me! It is the lightest one, so I'm not sure if people that are any paler than me would get on with it. I'm hoping they will make more in-between shades in the future, as I really don't think three shades are going to do it for most people. But I am really liking the one that I have and I'm glad it matches me.

TheBalm Mary-Dew Manizer

I'm putting this one - along with the new sister in town, Bonnie-Dew - to the test in the last couple of weeks, ever since I got it. I do prefer Mary for my skin tone, which has always been the best one for me in the powder collection, too. I'm really trying to find a love for liquid highlighters here, but I'm not entirely sure if it's my thing yet. I always go for powders, and tend to stay away from cream and liquid face colours as much as possible (apart from foundation and concealer, that is).

The Ordinary High-Adherence Silicone Primer

This is the primer I'm currently using, while I have a lot of others waiting on me as well. I'm still so chuffed that I got to try out The Ordinary in November, and I'm pretty sure I will walk into the store when I'm in London next to pick up some more goodies. This primer has been working so well for my oily skin, and I can't recommend it enough to all of you.

Which of the products above have you tried yet? What are you testing out at the moment? Let me know in the comments!

Lots of love,
