The Bloggers Made Me Buy It

Hey everyone!

I thought it was well time to do another one of those old school blog posts, telling you all about some products I've definitely bought because of seeing it on other blogs.

I've also done one of these back in January, check it out here.
Here comes the second part.

The Ordinary Coverage foundation

Honestly, when I first heard about The Ordinary I wasn't too interested. After a while I saw so many different review on the foundations, and it was actually the more "negative" reviews on the Coverage foundation that actually made it sound perfect for me. Most people preferred the Serum foundation, but most people that reviewed it had normal to dry skin, and not many with oily skin types had actually given their thoughts on the Coverage one.

I was so amazed by how it performed on first glance, and I still am. I just picked up a slightly too light shade, as I heard from people it would oxidise throughout the day and I thought I could make a lighter shade work, rather than one that would be too dark for me. I've mixed in a couple of pumps of other foundations I have lying around to make it a bit warmer and darker, so when I use this now, it's not the original formula. But I would be happy to pick up a new one when this runs out, maybe just one shade up will do.

Nars Soft Matte Complete Concealer

This must be the one that brought back all pot concealers on the market (along with the Glossier one). Every YouTuber has been using it at some point in the last year or so, and everyone recommended it so much for the blemishes. That sounded like music to my ears, and I must say this concealer lives up to the expectations.

I don't use it every single day, because I have so many concealers on the go, it's crazy. But whenever I need that bit more coverage, I will always reach for this one, and it's one of my absolute favourites in my collection at the moment. Thanks, bloggers!

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle highlighter duo

The Fenty Beauty brand has become really popular really quickly, and everyone and their mum is talking about it. Are you really a beauty blogger if you don't own at least one of their products? That's probably what got me to order one and try out the highlighter duo. I wasn't too sure about what colourway to go for, and I wish I could have swatched them in store beforehand, but I'm not complaining, I think I picked out the right one for my skin tone.

This is definitely not an everyday highlighter for me. It's so blinding, and I'm not really used to highlighters like that. I save it for the special occasions!

Nars Narsissist Wanted eyeshadow palette

This palette is on every instagrammer's feed lately, and rightly so. This is such a dreamy palette, both the packaging and what's inside. Nobody could shut up about it, and because the shades looked right up my alley, the palette would at some point become mine.

I did a whole first impressions with swatches on it, but in short: this is such great quality, the shade combinations are stunning, the glitters in here are from another level, and it's just a palette I will cherish my entire life.

Maybelline Total Temptation mascara

For some reason, people always go crazy whenever there's a new mascara from Maybelline or l'Oréal out. I'm not sure if that's because of PR or if everyone is just genuinely excited whenever they bring out a new one, but this one was on a lot of American and Canadian YouTuber's channel. Some people loved it so much, I just knew I had to try it for myself.

I must say I'm very underimpressed with it. It performs well, but it's definitely not my favourite mascara I've ever tried. I just prefer bristly applicators over plastic ones, and it's so heavily fragranced I'm not sure how long I'll be able to use it without my eyes reacting to it in some way or another. Just expected a bit more from this realease, I guess.

Dose Of Colours liquid lipsticks

Last but not least, these have been around for years but I only recently picked them up. The applicator is actually really funny, and it works well for the peachy shade because it's more nude and less trouble if I mess up slightly. The dark plum is still really tricky for me to apply and I need to wipe clean the edges every time.

That being said, the formula of these is great and they dry down to a very comfortable matte liquid lipstick. They stay one so well and I'm so happy I got to try them after all these years.

Have you tried any of these products? Let me know what you think of them in the comments below.
