July Favourites

Hi peeps!

Jeez, how are we already writing a July Favourites post? Can Summer stop progressing so fast, please?
I guess I'll just leave my favourites of the month with you today, then ^^

l'Oréal Infallible Longwear Shaping Stick Foundation - 120 Rose Vanilla

I've been loving this foundation so much lately, as it's so quick and easy to use! I'm quite surprised that I don't really see anyone talking about it. It's a lot more affordable than sme of the other popular stick foundations on the market, and I feel like this one has such good staying power and a good medium coverage. The only thing is that obviously, this was the lightest shade available in Belgium and I just wished there would be a wider shade range. But the formula is great and I love it a lot for when I'm in a rush.

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Duo - Sand Castle&Mint'd Mojito and Mimosa Sunrise&Sangria Sunset

So I've basically been obsessed with these ever since I got them, but haven't mentioned them a whole lot on my blog yet. The Orange/Pink one (Mimosa Sunrise & Sangria Sunset) looks pretty and comes in handy for the festival season, and especially the orange one (Mimosa Sunrise) works alright - even on my skintone - as a highlighter when used with a very light hand. The pink one (Sangria Sunset) can be used as a metallic blush, however I think this duo works best as an eyeshadow duo.

The taupey/icy blue one (Sand Castle & Mint'd Mojito) however, I find to be so wearable! You wouldn't think when you first see it, but honestly I've worn that blue one a lot as a highlighter on the cheeks. Again, with a light hand it just has that bit of a blue reflect, but packed on with an eyeshadow brush, it's a great eyeshadow as well, especially on the inner corners. Sand Caslte, the taupey shade, is great as a highlighter too, although it's slightly too glittery for my liking. I do wear it for extra makeup looks, but I do prefer this one as an eyeshadow topper, or used in combination with Mint'd Mojito.

Nip+Fab Contour Palette - Light 1

This very affordable contour palette is one of my greatest discoveries at the drugstore lately. I never thought I could enjoy a contour palette that much. I really think this is such a bargain for what you get, and although I prefer high-end powders when it comes to blushes and bronzers, I do think this is amazing quality for the small price you pay. The only thing is that I don't know where to put it so that I always have it within my reach, but maybe if I shuffle around my products in my drawers a little bit, I will find the perfect spot!

Urban Decay Born To Run eyeshadow palette

You probably guessed this one up front, but BOY DO I LOVE THIS PALETTE. I've raved all about it in the Born To Run review last month, so go and check that out if you haven't already. Base line of that review: I find the colours are well curated and the colour palette looks so satisfying, it really has a lot of different shades yet they all seem to go together. The only thing I miss in here is a paler shade, I wish maybe Weekender would have been a little bit paler of a matte shade than it is now, but other than that, you really have everthing you need in here. I've been using it a lot ever since I got my hands on it and it's just a palette I highly recommend.

Darphin Paris Petal Infusion Lip Oil

This is a bit more of an unusual discovery for me, from a brand I'd only heard of but never really tried. I also never use lip oils, but was thinking of trying the Clarins one soon. Enter the Ici Paris XL event I went to last month, when this one came in the goodiebag. Doesn't it look pretty with the petals inside?

They do them in three different "shades" of petals: the yellow one is rejuvenating (which sounds strange to me for a lip product), the purple one is softening and the red one, which I have, is nourishing. It just feels really hydrating and nourishing and I will always put this on a few hours before I'm going to wear a very matte (or liquid) lipstick. That way my lips are hydrated enough so that I don't have to use a lip balm right before applying my lip colour, but it's also had a bit of time to sink into the lips, as it's quite a thick formula. There's no scent or taste to it, which I actually really like.

If you're wondering: the stopper prevents the petals from coming out of the tube, so there's really only a clear lip oil on the doe-foot applicator. Such a strange, beautiful product! I think I will definitely repurchase this when I've used it up, as it retails for €20 which I don't think is too bad for the quality, and I might actually pick up the softening one next!

Ren Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel

I've enjoyed the Ren Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser for a while now - around 1,5 years I believe - and I thought I would finally try out the Clarimatte gel cleanser, just to change it up a bit. I still really love the clay cleanser, but I think this gel cleanser is such a good one as well! Ren has yet to disappoint me with their products, as so far, I like a lot of the things I've tried from them. It's such a lightweight formula, it smells really fresh (all natural smells, as there's no added perfume in their products) and it leaves my skin feeling really clean and fresh. I do think the Clay Cleanser is a lot more heavy duty, so I usually use this one on days where I only wear a little bit of makeup, or no makeup at all. I think I definitely have room to have both of these in my routine, for different purposes.

Lots of love,
