August Favourites
10:00
Hey peeps!
I've been enjoying a lot different products this summer, so this favourites post is going to be a massive one... Let's not ramble and jump straight into it.

l'Oreal True Match concealer - 2.R/C Rose Vanilla
First off I wanted to mention this concealer. I usually dread using this concealer on top of foundation, as it tends to oxidise that way and it's actually not light enough to brighten underneath my eyes etc. It has amazing coverage though and I must say it's such a good match to my actual skin (without foundation) and I've been loving using this one on its own this summer. The weather is so hot and I've not been wearing foundation too much, so I'll just go in with this concealer and it makes my skin look flawless. It doesn't seem to oxidise as much this way, and it stays put really well. So glad I've found a way to enjoy this concealer!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer - Radiant Bronze Light
I've been loading up the bronzer for the past two months and I usually whip out the old Hourglass bronzer at this time of year. The one I bought back in the days has quite a bit of the darker shade running through, so it's actually too dark for me at any other time of the year. However, it gives me such an amazing bronze glow in summer, and when used with a light hand I can make it work. It's such a pretty one.
Jeffree Star Thirsty eyeshadow palette
I got this palette back in July, but I've only really started experimenting with it this month. I definitely had to get used to the glittery formula and it's definitely not for everyday (for me, personally), but it's so pretty once it's on! The matte browns and peaches in this palette are very wearable for everyday though and I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of it in autumn as well, i'm sure.
YSL The Shock waterproof mascara
I've actually discovered my love for waterproof mascaras - not because they are a dream to get off in the evening, because they're NOT - as it keeps a curl like no other mascara does! I still have a few mascaras as backup but I'm really going to try and dive into the world of waterproof, as my lashes fall down in a matter of minutes after applying any type of mascara, recently. This YSL one in particular is a great everyday mascara, in the way that it separates my lashes, gives a bit of colume but not too much and just looks really pretty on my lashes. I hate clumpy mascaras and this is one that definitely isn't clumpy. I'm so excited to try more YSL mascaras as well, as this is the first one of the brand I've ever tried, and they are supposed to be really good!
BareMinerals Gen Nude Buttercream lipgloss - Forbidden
I've dived into the world of lipgloss again and I couldn't have picked a better one to start off with again than this one. I loe wearing it on its own, as it gives a little bit of a cool pinky nude colour, but it also works wonders layered onto a lipstick. The one thing I actually like most about it is the smell! It honestly smells like biscuits, or vanilla cake, or something along those lines. It feels so soft on the lips and not sticky at all. So obsessed, I need to check out some more shades soon.
BareMinerals Dirty Detox skin glowing & refining mud mask
I rarely ever talk about skincare in my favourites posts, because I also rarely ever change up the products in my routine. I did recently went to look for a new face mask and stumbled upon this one. I love using this in the weekends and it makes my skin feel ready for the week to come. It's kind of similar to the GlamGlow Supermud in the way that it's also a purifying clay mask, but it doesn't break me out like the GlamGlow one tends to do. It makes my skin feel really soft and cleansed and the good thing is: this tub is enormous so it contains a lot of product, which will last me a long time before I have to buy it again. I know the ingredients are better because BareMinerals is always very keen on using natural and mineral ingredients, and I feel that after I've applied the mask. It feels so healthy and good for my skin and that's really all that it needs to do.
Joico Blonde Life Brightening Veil UV & thermal defense multi-tasker*
Last thing I want to mention today are two hair products. First one being this blonde spray from Joico. I got this as a PR sample and I am in no way obligated to talk about it, but I've been genuinely enjoying this over the summer. I love myself a product like this in general, and the thing with this particular spray is that it protects from the UV-rays, whilst it makes your blonde look more prominent. Very much enjoying this one!
Joico Body Shake Texturizing Finisher*
Lastly I wanted to mention this volumizing spray, also from Joico. It took me a while to gather my thoughts around it, and if I liked it or not, but I would say it works best on freshly washed & dried hair. It gives texture, so it does make your hair a bit gritty rather than soft, but I don't think I've ever used a volumising spray that doesn't give you texture... at first I didn't like it so much, but after finding that it's quite easy to comb it out, I've been using it after styling my hair, spraying this mostly in the roots (but don't go overboard, it will make your hair go crazy!) from a 30cm distance and then lightly go over with my hair brush. The volume will be where I need it and the texture won't feel as gritty on the lengths. Once I've done that, I push up my hair a bit to give it some more volume, and that's really what this spray is for: spray it in, then push the roots up and it will hold the volume. Definitely recommend trying it out if you can get your hands on it!
That wraps up all the favourites for this month. Let me know what yours are down below and as always, feel free to link me up to your own favourites posts/videos, I enjoy them a lot!
Lots of love,
