Full Face Of Stick Products

10:00

Hey everyone!

Since my makeup collection has been expanding a lot, I've been collection a few stick products lately and I realised I now have enough sticks to do an entire makeup look with.

I'll talk you through all the products and how I like them, and show you the final look at the end.
Obviously there's two products I need to add that can't be in a stick-form, and that's setting powder (or setting spray) and mascara.

Also there's one product in here that's not a stick as the mini, which is a total shame because I know they do exist as a mini-stick, but just know that the full size comes in a stick! I'll explain later on in the post when I'm talking about the particular product.

I'm so happy to be using the Smashbox Photo Finish Iconic Primer Stick. This mini one came in a gift set, which is totally cute! You can't believe how many times I've used this already, and it is so tiny... I'm curious to see how long the actual full-size would last me. I love how it mattifies the areas where I need it and would definitely purchase the full size stick once this one runs out. It's so easy to apply it just in the targeted areas.

For foundation I'm keeping it light with the new By Terry Nude Expert Duo Stick in 5 Peach Beige. This guy is very heavily scented, so if that's not your thing, stay away from it. If you don't mind it, this gives a glowy finish with a light coverage, this shade was given to me at an event and it is slightly too dark for me, but I can make it work by really blending it out and targeted concealing with a lighter concealer. You could use the foundation shade and the highlighter shade separately if you want, but if you use them together it just gives an overall glow to the face. I ended up giving this one to charity after photographing this post, as "the glow" is just really not made for me. I'm quite oily and more all-over glow is just not what I need... But it was nice to try it out and recommend it for normal to dry skin types.

For concealer I'm going in with the BareMinerals BarePro concealer in Fair/Light-Warm 02, it has amazing coverage for where I need it but it's also light enough to highlight those high points of the face, to make up for the foundation that's slightly too dark.

For my contour I'm using the Fenty Beauty Matchstix matte skinstick in Mocha. I love blending this out with a stippling brush. I apply this in the hollows of my cheeks, around my temples, on the sides of my nose and underneath my jaw line to hide my double chin ;-)

This is the point where I like to set my face with some powder, and I do that mainly on the areas where I put concealer and where I really need the coverage to stay all day. I then follow up with the Fenty Beauty Matchstix matte skinstick in Trippin', a gorgeous peachy shimmery blush shade. I only apply this on the very apples of the cheeks.

Now this is where the non-stick product comes in. The Benefit Watt's Up highlighter usually comes in the shape of a stick, and I have owned it before, but it's completely used up, and I got this mini size in a christmas set last year. I apply this on the high points of the cheeks, the bridge of the nose and the cupid's bow.

So that's our base done! Now let's get onto the eyes and lips.

For my brows I'm using a twist-up pencil, as I count that as a stick product. I'm using my trusty Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in Caramel. It's super quick and easy for everyday and I love it a lot. I do slightly set my brows with the ABH Clear Brow Gel as well.

I'm keeping it simple with a shimmery eyeshadow stick today. I'm not going too ham with it, as I only kept my two palest shimmery eyeshadow sticks. (I gave my Kiko ones to charity) I'm using the The Body Shop Eye Colour Stick in Nevada Gold on the lids, and the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Shadow Stick in Sunlight Gold in the very inner corners. I really want to try one of their new ones with the cooling formula, if any of you have tried them, please let me know which one I should definitely check out!

A coat of mascara, and then all that's left are lips! I can literally pair any shade of lipstick with this look, as everything looks very neutral. Maybe I'll go for a peachy number, as I've put on a peachy blush? After swatching a few of my lippies, I decided to go for my trusty Mac x Fleur DeForce lipstick. I know you're all sick of hearing about this one but it will be the last time this will be featured in a blog post, as I've just entered this into my Project Pan and this one is shrinking by the day! I've been wearing it a lot ever since this spring and I will be so sad when it's gone forever. This was a limited edition collaboration - but I wish this would be a permanent shade! It's so pretty ;-)

That completes the look with all stick products. I hope you enjoyed this one, as it's a little bit different to what I normally do. Let me know what you think in the comments below, and also if you have any other recommendations for stick products that are good for oily skin types (like me), hit me up! I love a good cream-to-powder formula and a stick product is always so handy for when you're in a rush, or you're traveling and you can't bring loads of brushes with you!

Lots of love,
