My favourite makeup looks from Summer
10:00
Hey everyone!
Today I want to share my favourite makeup looks from summer 2018, and also give my reason for it.
they are very versatile and because it was all shot on different times and days, it doesn't look very cohesive - I'm sorry! But I just thought I'd do a very chilled post for you today. Hope that's okay!
Here are all the looks I loved wearing the most.

My skin was at its best and I only wore a bit of the Benefit Boiing Industrial Strength concealer, the Zoeva Nude Spectrum blush palette on the cheeks (used the bronzer shade and the shimmery blush) and also on the eyes (just the bronzer) and a bit of the Nyx Away We Glow liquid highlighter in Crystal Glare, on the high points of the face and in the inner corners of the eyes. Didn't even put on mascara or brows!

2. That time I kept the base really neutral, and went for a bold red lip...

I think it looked so pretty with my glasses on especially! My obsession for the Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick in Bawse is real.
3. That time I used two different palettes together and it actually turned out pretty okay...

I remember I really didn't plan for the upper lid to turn out so purple toned but somehow it happened... Still not sure why actually! I combined the Smashbox Light It Up mini eyeshadow palette and the YSL Bleus Lumière eyeshadow quad, added a pop of that turquoise with the Mac Powerpoint eyeliner in So There Jade and finished the look with the Urban Decay Vice lipstick in Fuel.

4. That time I used so many different eyeshadow palettes together, I don't even remember which ones I used...

I do know I was very obsessed with the look. I think I used my Mac custom eyeshadow palette, the Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics palette and maybe also a Marc Jacobs palette? I needed all these different shades to recreate a look KathleenLights did on her YouTube channel once, and I had so much fun looking for all the particular shades in my collection.

5. That time I reconnected with my liquid eyeliner...

It had been a while since I'd worn black liquid liner! I seem to skip it a lot as it takes so much effort. I did go a bit crazy but I was so out of practise! The eyeshadow look is all warm tones, with the Zoeva Nude Spectrum blush palette, the Smashbox Light It Up mini eyeshadow palette and a bit of the The Body Shop Eye Colour Stick in Nevada Gold on the inner corners (which you can't really see all that well on the picture, I know. The liquid liner I'm curently using is the Eyeko Black Magic liquid liner.

6. That time I went to Lenny Kravitz...

I had so many new goodies to try and thought this was the perfect opportunity to do that! It looks nowhere near as sparkly as it did IRL, but I basically went into the browny nude shades from the Urban Decay Born To Run palette, applied the Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Duo highlighter in the shade Sand Castle on top of the lid and went into Mint'd Mojito for my cheekbone highlighter. Can you tell it has the nicest subtlest blue sheen to it? So pretty! Kept it nude on the lips with the Guerlain Rouge G in N°02.

7. That time I used all the brightest colours on my eyes...

I popped out the Urban Decay Electric eyeshadow palette for a Palette Bingo on my blog, and this must be my favourite look I've created in that post! I'm so obsessed with it and I can't stop looking at this picture... My skin was having such a good moment as well!
7. that time I was experimenting with one-colour eyeshadow looks...
I actually really ended up loving this look but not for the occasion I was looking for. I might wear it again very soon, I layed down a base of a browny nude transition shade, then packed the Urban Decay eyeshadow in Dive Bar all over the lid. I forgot how cool this eyeshadow actually looked!
8. That time I went to Rock Werchter festival...

In the picture below there's more products than I used but I wanted to show the few products I did use. I reached for the Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil highlighter duo in Mimosa Sunrise & Sangria Sunset on my eyes and cheeks, and used the Dior Diorshow Pump 'n' Volume mascara in 640 Coral Pump. Thought it looked so fun for going to a festival!

9. That time I went to Pukkelpop Festival...

I ended up trialing a few looks over on my InstaStories and got you all to decide what would look the coolest! One was a contest between all purple or all green - purple won with the Urban Decay eyeshadow in Tonic! - and one was with the Jeffree Star Thirsty Palette, using the peach shadows in the crease but with either yellow or blue on the lid. It was a 50/50 tie so I chose the yellow, then ended up using Tonic on the lower lash line. Best of both worlds! I added a little bit of the Dior Diorshow Pump 'n' Volume mascara in 640 Coral Pump to make it extra fun.

And I think I'm going to leave it here, as this last look must be my absolute favourite out of them all! Going out with a banger ;-)
