Bit-Of-Everything Haul from Manchester
10:00
Hey everyone!
I went away for a few days to re-visit Manchester, as I do a lot of times. Between Christmas and New Year's, I could take some time off work and go back to the place I used to love living in.
Of course when I'm there, there's always a lot of shopping involved! I picked up a few beauty bits, a few fashion and lifestyle bits and of course I did some damage at the duty-free.

Let's start with beauty! I am very into the Pixi Glow Tonic and have it on back-up for me to start using soon, but I ran into the Pixi Retinol Tonic at Boots and saw there was a mini-version I could take with me. I thought it would be interesting to try out, see how I'd get on. I'll definitely keep you guys in the loop about it!
I also restocked on my Ren facial cleansers, the Clarimatte T-Zone Control Cleansing Gel and the Clearcalm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser. I use these on a daily basis so I needed to pick them up at some point anyways.
Then I thought I would pick up the VO5 Big Volume hair mousse, which I used to love back in the days. I sort of stopped using mousses and switched to thickening sprays but I remember I loved it so much. Super excited to get back on it.
Lastly, there's only ONE sort of makeup-y item and that's the Smashbox Photofinish Primer Water. I've heard good things about it and really do think I can use all the moisture I need this winter. I've used it a couple of times since I got it and I like it, although the spray doesn't seem to spread all that evenly and I often miss my face the first time (which is odd, isn't it?). Anyways, definitely loving my sprays at the moment and this one is a nice addition to the routine.

I was desperate to pick up a new ThisWorks Deep Sleep Pillow Spray as I've had some trouble sleeping lately. This stuff really knock me out so I've so chuffed to have it back with me. Then I saw this super cute Batteries Not Included set of mini's containing two deep sleep pillow sprays and two stress check roll-ons. The latter I just got to try out when I got it in my Look Fantastic advent calendar and yes yes yes! I love this so much. Having this little set means I can always take these products with me while travelling.

In duty-free I came across a perfume I was going to buy soon anyways. I recently got a sample of the new Chloé Nomade perfume (50ml), which worked out to be a lot cheaper as I would when buying it back home, so I ended up taking it with me. I am terrible at describing scents, but I love that this has a hint of flowers without being as flower-power as the other Chloé perfumes. They tend to be very girly and I usually prefer a deeper, muskier scent and this one definitely has hints of white musk and sandalwood as well. The bottle is so cute, too!
I also saw this cute little bauble finned with a mini By Terry Baume de Rose, and I've been wanting to try that for ages so I finally gave in. I've been trying it out the last few weeks and I must say it's very thick in texture and I had higher hopes for it. It's a great one for going to bed with, though.

Last few bits I picked up are a bit more random. I always love going into Waterstone's, as for some reason I don't have a bookstore like that around where I live. I love reading in English and that's why I always love to sniff around in stores like this one. I came across so many books that I obviously couldn't all bring with me on the plane, but took notes of in my phone to buy later. I picked up one book, The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving a F**k by Sarah Knight. I feel like every blogger and their mum has read this already and I thought, under the motto of "new year, new me" I needed to read this. Very excited for it!
Then obviously I had to go and check out the sale at Michael Kors and you guessed it: I came out with another bag. I'm quite obsessed with Michael Kors bags but I rarely ever pay full price as they seem to have good sales on all the time. They've really changed up their style the past few seasons and I came across this beautiful, classic bag, which was half price!
This is the Michael Kors Benning Large Two-Tone Leather Satchel in Admirl Multi. They had it in burgundy/pink as well, Oxblood Multi and it was a close one between the two, but figured I didn't have a dark blue hand bag yet. I love how it has a brighter blue accent to it so it's not just a standard navy shade (which they actually also had and looked stunning, but you can't have it all!)
That's all from me today. Hope you enjoyed this, I've missed doing plain old hauls on my blog! Hands up if you want to see more ;-)
