Blue eyeshadow look

Hey peeps,
A few weeks ago I shared a blue eyeshadow look on my instagram and a lot of you seemed to like it! I'm here today to give you some more details on how I created it.

I always prime my eyelids before applying any shadows, wether it be liquid, cream or powder. After applying the Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base I go straight in with the Stila Vivid & Vibrant Eye Shadow Duo Sapphire. This shadow does not pick up well with a brush and even wetting it won't help, but applied with your fingers it really packs a punch. So I highly recommend you apply this with your fingertips, both the deep shade and the glitter shade.
I go in with the deep shade first, which has a slight metallic finish. I was surprised to see it applied a lot lighter and brighter on the eyes than it looks in the pan. I applied this shade all over the mobile lid, and blended it out with a clean fluffy eyeshadow brush.
I went to blend out the edges some more with a colour that's opposite on the colour spectrum: orange. I find they combine so well together and it adds just that bit of warmth to the look. I reached for the Makeup Geek Chickadee eyeshadow, a perfect warm shade that's not too orange but does a good job at complementing the blue shade. I also apply this along the lower lash line.
Then I go back in with the Stila Sapphire Duo, but this time I take the glittery shade and apply this - with my finger - on the inner half of the mobile lid. I really need to press this on as it does have a lot of fallout if you're not careful! With whatever is left on my finger in the end, I go into the inner corner of the lower lash line to bring some blue to the bottom of the look. Later on this will blend in with the highlighter shade.
To finish off the look I take the Mac Nylon eyeshadow, a bright and white shimmery highlighting shade. I haven't reached for this in so long but it's honestly so good for highlighting your eyes! As I mentioned I took this on the inner corners and blended it into the left-over blue on the lower lash line.
One last coat of mascara on top and bottom lashes and voilà, hat's the entire eye look!

I hope you enjoyed this mini-tutorial, and if you ever see a look on my instagram that you'd like explained, please let me know! I'd love to share them on my blog a bit more ;-)
