February Favourites
10:00
Hey peeps!
I'm here with another Monthly Favourites post for you lot.
Cheeky little me did some makeup shopping in the past few months and I will share the complete haul with you soon. A few of these new products I will be mentioning today as I just can't wait to tell you about them...

Becca BFFS Made With Love by Khloé Bronze, Blush & Glow palette
This is not a palette I picked up for the sake of the Kardashian name on it, as I am not really interested in their life at all. I just saw this palette and thought: I think I might actually need this on my life! Obviously I did not, but since glowy blushes have been back for a bit and I just love a well thought out face palette, this one seemed like one to go for. In here you have a very glowy champagne highlighter, a peachy blush and highlighter hybrid (my personal favourite!), a darker plum shimmery blush and a semi-matte (but not flat) warm toned medium bronzer. All four of these work so well for my skin tone, and I love that within this collection you have another palette that's a little more suitable for darker skin tones. Absolutely love this gorgeous jewel of a palette and I think these shades will work for so many people (well maybe not the bronzer if you're a bit darker skinned than I am, but definitely the other 3 shades are very universal imo).
Hourglass Confession lipstick - I'll Never Stop
For some reason I was very much into finding a new nude lipstick a few weeks ago when I did a Cult Beauty haul and one of the three (!!) lipsticks I picked up - and definitely the prettiest out of the three - is this beauty from Hourglass. I had no idea which shade would suit me most and sort of just guessed from the swatches online, but I never thought I would love it as much as I do! It is borderline too pale for me but it just about still works for me, it's a very true beige-y nude without any hint of pink or peach in there. I've been wearing it mostly in combination with darker, more matte lipsticks to create more of an ombre effect, and to bring back the moisture as I don't tend to wear all matte lipsticks that often anymore. Such a beautiful, rich, pigmented formula (which I kind of wanted from such an expensive little number) but now I definitely want to go out and swatch them if I can one day, and see if any of the other shades would suit me...
Huda Beauty Topaz Obsessions eyeshadow palette
I had never tried the Huda shadows before and since everyone and their mum has been talking about these 9-pan eyeshadow palettes for ages now, I finally took the plunge and ordered this one (along with the Emerald one, which I'll definitely talk about in my upcoming haul post). I have loved this over the past few weeks as it's a very true-tone orange palette, and you don't get that very often. It's usually terracotta and browny oranges, or orangey browns that you get in palettes like these, but I find that the combination of these shadows make for a very true orange look. I loved wearing it when I popped out my new terracotta coloured skirt from Zara (that I scored in the sales, thank you Lord) and it just gave these awesome warm toned vibes to my entire look, which I loved so much!
Oh, apart from the fact I like the shades in this palette, it's very good quality and most of them are really pigmented. They blend well and pick up nicely on a brush, and it's easy to apply the glitter shades with your finger. Just the perfect little dinky palette to travel with, I'd say!
Smashbox Primer Water
Honestly I never thought my skin would need extra hydration as it's always been so oily, but recently I've found that hydrating it well actually battles my oils coming through during the day. Spraying this one after my skin care and before my foundation makes my foundation melt into the skin a bit better, and gives me a fresh looking face. It's so easy for when I'm in a hurry in the mornings as well. Highly recommend and will definitely purchase the big bottle soon!
Likami hand cream
I'm actually planning on doing a full blog post on this brand that I just discovered, but here's the tip of the iceberg. This Belgian brand created natural beauty and is very much eco-conscious, with (most) packaging being recyclable and/or reusable, it's vegan and cruelty free and it uses only base products produced in mainland Europe (for packaging or ingredients). But Charline, you never gave two sh*ts about that so what are you on about? Well, I'm actually on a mission to try and produce a little less (plastic) waste in my skincare and makeup (to start with). I see how much I throw out every so often and how much of that is just plain plastic, so whenever I can keep a tin or pot that I can reuse or repurpose in the future, bring back to the store for a recycle-program or know that the material is 100% recyclable when I throw it out, I will make sure to do it. Lately I've been really into researching zero-waste(-ish) brands, or brands that are making the effort to produce/package in a more eco-friendly way... This is one I'll start with and tell you more about soon.
Enough about that, so: the hand cream! It has quite a strong smell but I think that's the sage in here, it smells very herbal-y and it just moisturises my hands so well without leaving a greasy feeling for too long. I love that it comes in a reusable pot so hands up for this! Will keep you all updated soon on this brand.
Lots of love,
