Líkami, a brand to look out for

10:00

Hey peeps!

I discovered a Belgian brand not too long ago, that has some really promising products in their range and is making all the efforts to be "clean", in multiple ways. I've been on the lookout for brands just like this one, that are aware of packaging and ingredients without losing effectiveness or being dull.

I will tell you a bit more about them today, and have a little sneak preview of an upcoming product that will launch very soon...

"Superfood for your skin"

Líkami, meaning "body" in Icelandic, refers to the pureness of the ingredients in the products. You can tell they are 100% focused on the clean ingredients that help your skin in a natural way, while also being conscious about every other element of the production process: from packaging that is recyclable and/or reusable, preserving the ingredients and even how they are so clean and pure in the design of the logo and packaging.

This is a belgian brand, so straight away I was really drawn to it when I heard about it. The packaging is so sleek and simple, and very instagramable, who said eco-friendly needs to look boring?

What I also love about the brand and the design is that it's unisex. Hooray! Nothing makes it feminin but it's also not marketed as "this is one for the boys", it's just clean products for everybody. They look so good on my vanity and honestly I'd love to have them all around the house.

Líkami has quite the range of products: a lot of it is skincare, for your face. They also have an amazing range of body products that I have yet to try out. A few balms and creams complete the range, along with some amazing travel-sized products. They do some amazing gift sets, too!

All the products are vegan and cruelty-free, free of parabenes, silicones, artificial colouring and scents, mineral oils, sulfates, micro-plastics, and a bunch of other stuff that isn't natural. Basically: everything in here is 100% biological. Besides that it's all dermatologically tested.

Most of the packaging that they do is reusable Miron-glass, which preserves the botanical ingredients well as the violet glass protects it from the sun rays. You can easily reuse the bottles and tins afterwards to preserve herbs, spices or tea. Or anything other, really.

A few of the products come in plastic bottles with a pump, more for practical reasons. All the plastic used is PET which can be recycled easily.

No extra boxes or plastic wrapping is being used, what you see is what you get! All the extra info on a product that you need is behind the peel-off label on the bottle/tin.

Any (gift) sets are bundled together in recycled packaging. Just like the pouch in the pictures!

A little bit more about the specific products I've tried. I was able to snatch up this set for half price in the sales, as it was marketed as a christmas gift set. It came it a full sized Hand Cream, full sized Lip Balm and a mini Facial Toner spray.

I had to get used to all three products as I'm used to a lot of chemical products in my skin care, especially for the toner. The hand cream I really like on my bedside table, it's not one I would carry around with me but I always apply hand cream right before bed. It's a really light formula that sinks in quite quickly. It has a strong herbal smell, containing ingredients like yarrow, burdock, st. john's wort and sage. Now that I've used it for a few months, I'm obsessed with it!

Same goes for the lip balm. I'm used to heavier, creamier lip balm and I still use those, but this mixture of shea butter and coconut is really nice for right before I do my makeup. I don't like heavy lip balms before applying any other lipsticks, so this comes in handy for moments like that. I apply a different lip balm before bed, but who knows maybe in the future Líkami will extend the range with a more creamy one... I'd totally be into that!

The facial toner I love a lot. I'm a bit confused with the spray, as I tend to apply my toner with a cotton round so I just spray the product on there. That way I feel like I'm effectively taking away excess oils from my face, as I have quite an oily combination skin. It's different to use one that's not so chemically, but I honestly really love it. I'm definitely going to purchase the full size in the future.

I'm really happy I got to try these products and I'm very curious about the others. By the looks of it, a lot of the skincare products (like serums and creams) are more for dry skin types and I'm not sure how well I will get on with them, but I definitely want to check out their shower products.

Finally, a product that I can't wait to try out has yet to be released...

I've been trying to get myself into non-aerosol deodorants, and I think I'm getting on with them quite well. That's why I'm super excited Líkami is releasing a solid deodorant soon! Again, it's one that would rather sit on my vanity than in my handbag, but I'm so curious to see how this works out for me. Coconut, castor oil, jojoba oil, sage and shea make a beautiful combination for a hydrating, good-smelling formula, while bi-carbonate will neuralise odors in a natural way. I'm going to test it out very soon so I will give the full details when I do a review on this product. Who else is excited?

If you live in or around Belgium or are visiting soon, make sure to check out this brand. Some webshops ship internationally, I believe the Hay Antwerp webstore makes these products available in The Netherlands and Luxemburg.

You can check out the Líkami website for more information on their beautiful products:

*This post is not sponsored, but I will receive a PR sample of the deodorant soon, which I will review for you all. This post is completely my own and written from the bottom of my heart, nothing more, nothing less. All opinions are always my own!
