Project Pan That Product: update #42
10:00
Hey peeps!
A new month always means a new update on my Project Pan That Product on the blog.
Here we go.
Here we go.

I finished up the l'Oréal True Match powder foundation and replaced it with the Urban Decay De-Slick complexion primer, emptied the Chanel Jardin De Chanel blush and introduced the The Balm Fratboy blush and finally, completely used up the YSL Touche Eclat - 1 and entered the Benefit Shy Beam (mini) into the project.
Today, the products look like this:

H&M High Impact Eye Colour - Shiitake
I'm so on the fence with this one, as I never thought it would be so hard to use this every day. I really have to force myself to wear eyeshadow and although this is one of the most easy shades to wear, somehow I'm just too lazy on a regular work day to spend more time on applying an eyeshadow primer and a simple one-wash colour on my eyelids. I wear it here and there when I can be bothered, but usually when I do have the time I'll reach for one of my eyeshadow palettes rather than this single shadow...
Urban Decay De-Slick complexion primer
I've used this a little bit, but it's really against my nature lately to apply any primer at all. I apply makeup quite soon after doing my skincare in the morning so I feel like my face is still very hydrated when I do. I also thought I would enjoy this primer a lot more when I picked it up, but it has quite a weird feeling, especially on my hands. I can't rub this in, but rather have to pat it in. Still kind of need to get used to that, I guess.
The Balm Fratboy blush
I've realised this month that it will take even longer to finish this one up than the last one. I need to dip in so gently to get pigment on my brush, and that means I won't hit pan until forever. It's good value for money, that's for sure! After using the Chanel one for so long, which was a lot more pink toned, it's good to finally come back to a more peachy number. And because this one is matte, I get a lot more wear out of the highlighter in this project, too!

Kat Von D Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick - Bow N Arrow
I've really tried to get the use out of it this month, as I feel like it's almost the last few weeks that I will actually be able to wear it in combination with complementing shades in my clothing. I did find a way to make it work slightly better with more warm toned looks: I apply this first, then top it with my Urban Decay Fuel cream lipstick, which was a part of the Naked Heat collection. It's a very orange toned lipstick with a cream finish, and it makes the Kat Von D lipstick work better in two ways: it makes it slightly warmer so it turns into more of a perfect browny nude, rather than a grey toned mauvey nude. But also, I haven't been wearing a lot of matte lipsticks anymore, and tend to prefer a creamy finish these days, so topping the very matte formula of the Kat Von D lipstick with a very creamy one from Urban Decay, it makes it more comfortable to wear and it fades a bit more nicely.
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow Face Sculpt & Highlight
Right after my last Project Pan went live, I hit pan on the bronzer. Hooray! I have tried to use more product from the side once the pan was growing, as it might have looked odd and I know the product might break more easily once the pan is bigger. But I'm so glad this product is showing some progress. I think it would be lovely to hit pan on the highlighter by the time I use up the contour shade, as I know it's quite impossible to use up the highlighter entirely. I use so little of it every time I do, so trying to completely finish it would be unrealistic. But let's see how far we can get and when we will hit pan.
Nars Climax mascara
Last month I told you how I don't particularly like this mascara. I've tried wearing it more this month but don't reach for it every single day. It's stopped flaking off during the day, but just wearing thi on its own makes my lashes drop in no time, even when I've curled them. I tend to leave it for topping up in the evening or layering on top of a waterproof formula. I reckon I'll take this out of the project before it's dried up or finished, just because I don't reach for it. I'm going to try and make the most of it in the next few month though.

Benefit Shy Beam (mini)
This product I've actually been reaching for a lot. I apply this first to brighten the area, then go in with my actual concealer only where I need it. I use a cream concealer these days and find that the liquid formula from Shy Beam doesn't work well on top, but if I wear this underneath my eyes, I use less actual concealer because I would always highlight with my concealer and use more than I needed. Now I really spot conceal wherever the darkness is still showing through. I think this is the way I'll use it the most and I'm sure I'll go through it in a few months time.
No empties this month, but I've only just introduced 3 new products last month so I'm very okay with that.
Lots of love,
