i know, I only recently did an empties update, but I had so many new ones laying around, I just had to do another one. Here's everything I've used up lately.
So, as we're halfway through Advent (or we were, 2 days ago, but obviously I couldn't get a post up on the day itself as I was working and I had a scheduled post for yesterday) I wanted to give you an update on the first half of the Clinique "12 Days of Clinique" advent calendar I'm going through this month.
I think it's was so worth getting it and the first 12 products are overall pretty amazing, so a quick little review/first impressions of what I think about the products in the calendar seemed just in place. I have tried out these products at least once, to make sure I can tell you about the consistency etc. Some I've already tried and tested in the past, some are completely new to me.
Oh, if you want to see the rest of the products before part 2 goes up, I'm opening the calendar every day on my instagram @charlinehasablog. Head over there for the updates (and other blogging and beauty content in general.)
So I was planning on posting this much closer to Christmas, but this look didn't turn out as xmas- or nye-proof as I had in mind. I still think it's suitable for the festive season, but of course this one suits many occasions, as it looks quite neutral.
Every christmas I sort of do a take on the rosy-eyes-and-red-lips festive look, but I kind of did a twist on it this time round, by choosing colours that are just that bit different to the classic red lipstick and rosy pink eyeshadow.
I'm here to tell you all about a christmas set from Benefit I've picked up while I was in London two weeks ago. I had heard about this all-highlighting-set and sounded right up my street.
I'll give you a run down of the products, my first impressions and swatches, and what I've thought about this whole set in the last two weeks when I tested them out!
I'm here to share my the makeup look I was wearing with you all.
I took on the task from a different angle this year.
Normally, on my birthday, I like to pop out my favourite eyeshadow palette and my most luxurious makeup items, probably to create a warm-brown eyeshadow look of some sorts (much like last year's look).
This year, however, I had in mind I would wear my new Essentiel Antwerp dress, which I absolutely adore. The colour combinations in this dress are very odd, I must say, but I thought I would try and match my makeup to it.
Using pinks, greens and a hint of that bright blue, I created a look that would match my outfit exactly.
It was quite a challenge to find similar shades, and honestly it would have never come to my mind to combine these shades in my makeup look in the first place, so it was a fun experience.
Another month has passed and to be honest, it's getting quite hard to find new favourites every month, but I also force myself to try and use different things each month (aside from the products that I'm trying to use up in my project pan) just to make sure I make the most of my entire collection.
These are the things I've recently picked up and loved, or rediscovered this month.
